We have now concluded the review process, and notifications are on their way to the authors. We received a record 32 high-quality papers this year, which made the review process very difficult.
I would like to thank the 62 Technical Programme Committee members for providing 107 high-quality reviews of the workshop papers, and to congratulate the authors of the accepted papers.

The 2nd International Workshop on Open Radio Access Networks will take place on 24 May 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, co-located with IEEE ICC 2026. Building on the first edition at WCNC 2025, the workshop examines the ongoing evolution of Open RAN through architectural disaggregation, standardized interfaces, and an ecosystem-driven innovation model.
This edition welcomes contributions on a wide range of research areas, including RIC architectures, xApp and rApp interoperability, conflict detection and mitigation, explainable and safe AI for RAN control, digital twin frameworks, open-source testbeds and simulators, O-Cloud virtualization, energy-efficient scheduling, security and supply-chain assurance, spectrum sharing, and policy and economic dimensions of Open RAN adoption.
The workshop is chaired by Nima Afraz (University College Dublin), Mohammad Shojafar (University of Surrey), and Hamed Ahmadi (University of York).
Paper submissions are due 18 January 2026, with notifications on 8 March and camera-ready versions on 15 March. Accepted and presented papers will appear in the IEEE ICC 2026 Proceedings and be submitted to IEEE Xplore.
Further details, including the full Call for Papers and submission guidelines, are available on the workshop website.
