Proud Moment for Team GenE! ⚡
Thrilled to share that our team, GenE (Next Generation Energy Warriors), secured 2nd place in the ENFIELD Hackathon 2025 for Most Accurate Prediction in building energy consumption forecasting!
🔍 Using advanced XGBoost regression models, robust feature engineering, and well-crafted preprocessing pipelines, we achieved a MAPE of just 6.79%, placing us among the top three most accurate solutions!
🏢 The competition challenged us to forecast energy consumption for buildings using only 2 months of data — a real-world scenario that demanded efficiency, scalability, and creativity.
